A shocking video from Afghanistan has been released in the past few weeks. A AH-64 helicopter has crashed during an attempt of the “return to target” maneuver. The video can be easily found on youtube.com or other video sites like that.
As you all know, eye protection is a very important matter whether it comes to airsoft. You cannot allow yourself to use half measures and if you think alike me and say that you pay twice for things that are cheap it is worth to invest in really good and renowned glasses. The briefing and introduction to the plot
Saturday, November 26, 2011, 0700 hours. We arrive for a meeting at a safe house in the suburbs of the city of Zielona Góra, located in the Lubusz Voivodship, 60 kilometers from the Polish-German border. It was a rather warm, sunny day. A brief confirmation that this is the place and we go in. The operators came in exchanging quick glances and greetings while bringing in the gear and weapons. We left our body armor and primary weapons in a separate room and then went to the briefing room. 0730 hours sharp – the briefing starts. We are informed about our whereabouts, targets, timelines. We look at photos of people that we are supposed to arrest or interrogate. The operators take notes, we look at the photos that are being distributed with the targets’ profiles. This was the beginning of a pretty demanding military simulation that took place in this calm and peaceful city.

This is an example of a conversation between some infantry, a sniper and a helicopter pilot. Seconds later a Cobra flies in, shooting rockets, the gunners takes out the infantry and sends the guards of target bravo straight to… the respawn. Yes, the respawn point. How to protect your ears in a CQB environment.
It is an obvious fact, that airsoft requires many kinds of protection. Protection which is very important.
As you may have noticed, people protect their eyes and limbs, but what about the ears?
People tend to forget to properly deal with their hearing. People throw fireworks just to make the game more fun and thrilling and that is why it is not difficult to hurt someone.
So, the reason of my today’s article is the protection of your ears and hearing, especially in a CQB environment.

Imagine a situation that for the several past hours you have been following your enemy, trying to flank him.
All of your other groups have been trying to set up an ambush a few kilometers ahead.
Weariness and weather are getting in your way, but you do not let go, you continue.

It often happens that we reach a point in which airsoft is not as fun as it used to be.
Therefore, people tend to look for alternative ways of spending your free time by participating in numerous trainings, seminars etc.
Seminars which could be at least partially used in the battle field. CQB seminars are a part of it. People attend trainings, develop their abilities and skills and then, take it to the MOUT/CQB airsoft events. It’s all nice and everything, but I think people tend to concentrate on the tactics too much.
They want the procedures to be perfect and forget to join procedures and keeping in mind some principles. It is hard to keep some drill while in CQB it often happens that you have to improvise a lot and in this point, some people are unable of doing that.
